In a good matchup it was the Los Angeles Dodgers 6, the Florida Marlins 4 at
Joe Robbie Stadium.

Florida surrendered all of the runs Los Angeles needed in the 8th inning
scoring 6 runners on 3 hits. The highlight belonged to Eric Karros who
quieted the home crowd when he launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a
Grand Slam homerun. Los Angeles had a total of 7 hits for the game.

Ramon Martinez(1-0) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Todd Worrell
gained credit for his 1st save. Terry Mathews(0-1) ended up with the loss in
relief. Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 4 batters in 1 and 2/3 innings.
