Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7 to 6.
 
Chicago (NL) went ahead for good in the 3rd inning when they tallied 2 runs on
3 hits.  Chicago (NL) managed 9 hits in their victory.  
 
The win went to Jim Bullinger(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Randy Myers earned the save, his 1st.  Jose Rijo(0-1) was the loser.  He got
hammered, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
