Luke Walker allowed 3 hits over nine and won his first decision of the season 2-1 over the Dodgers. He also doubled in the eventual winning run in the top of the 5th. Dave Cash knocked in the other Pirate run.
Don Sutton pitched well and took the hard luck loss. His only support was Tom Paciorek's 2nd homer.
