 May 7, 1973 - Fosse Flyout Finished O's, A's Finally Over .500!

Tied 3-3 in the top of the 10th, Deron Johnson got things going for the A's with a leadoff walk. Sal Bando grounded into a fielder's choice, and then Gene Tenace doubled to make it 2nd and 3rd with just one out. Ray Fosse lofted a fly to medium-deep right field, and Bando raced home ahead of the throw to put Oakland up by a run!

Horacio Pina came on to close out the bottom of the 10th, earning his second save in a game spot-started by traditional A's bullpen ace Rollie Fingers.

Reggie Jackson and Bando each homered, and Jackson seems to be getting on track at last.

Bob Reynolds took his first loss of the season, pitching two innings and allowing the go ahead run. Rich Coggins doubled twice for the Orioles.
