Dick McCauliffe was 3 for 5 including a home run and 4 RBIs as the Tigers routed the Rangers 8 to 1 behind quality pitching from Jeff Jeffrey Guterman favorite Mickey Lolich.
Lolich went the distance for his 5th win, allowing just 1 run on 7 hits.
Jeff Burroughs supplied all the offense for Texas with his 7th homer of the year.
