 May 5, 1973 - Garr's 9th inning homer carries Braves past Philadelphia!

Tied 4-4 after eight innings, it was Ralph Garr pinch hitting for Roric Harrison who was the difference. Garr lined a two-run homer into the right field seats to put Atlanta up 6-4!

Danny Frisella was able to navigate the ninth to lock up the win and record his first save. Paul Casanova was 2 for 4 including his first homer of the season, a 3-run shot in the second.

Steve Carlton allowed just 3 hits, but 4 walks and a homer led to 4 earned runs. Barry Lersch gave up the Garr homer and took the loss.
