May 5, 1973 - Coleman keeps Rangers in check, Horton's 3 hits lead Tigers!





Joe Coleman improved to 2-3 with a solid 7 innings, and Willie Horton had 3 hits in 4 tries to raise his batting average back to .500 as the Tigers beat Texas 4-2. John Hiller saved his 7th game of the season.

Vic Harris had 3 hits including a two-run home run batting leadoff, but no one else did much of anything as Texas fell to 7-13 in their first 20 games.
