May 5, 1973 - 2 Homer Day for Concepcion Carries Reds Past Expos!

Dave Concepcion hit his first two home runs of the season to help the Reds defeat Montreal 5 to 4. The first, a 2-run shot in the first inning, put Cincy up 2-0. In the fifth, a solo blast broke a 3-3 tie and gave the Reds their final lead.

Don Gullett improved to 3-0, while Clay Carroll picked up his first save.

For the Expos, Hal Breeden hit his third home run, walked twice, and scored three times, but didn't receive enough support from his teammates. Bill Stoneman mad his season debut and falls to 0-1.
