 May 3, 1973 - Hebner's Homer Powers Pirates!

Richie Hebner went 2 for 5 with a double, a homer (2), and 3 RBIs to power Pittsburgh to an 8 to 5 win over the struggling Giants.

Hebner, along with a home run from Bill Robertson and multi-hit games from Dave Cash and Al Oliver, helped the Bucs outhit Sab Fran 13 to 12.
Chris Speier went 4 for 4 with a walk for the Giants, but it was hard to overcome the difficulties of Jim Willoughby, who allowed 7 runs in 3+ innings.
Nelson Briles pitched well enough to get his first win of the season, and Dave Giusti had enough to hold the lead for the final two frames and record his second save.
